Time Out - Me

Where should I begin?

My dad’s name is Darrell, my mom’s name is Shirley and I am an only child.
I am also an Indian giver — just ask any of my friends. My smile is big, my heart is bigger and I live for a good time.

I’m at a restaurant on the upper Westside tonight and engaged in conversation with an amazing woman. She’s taller than me, her hair is simple and she’s more J Crew where as I am more Versace. But her strength, confidence, heart and inner beauty make it possible for us to see eye to eye.

I am amazing because amazing women surround me. I am me because of all of the gifts I have been granted. Alas, I’ve experienced what loneliness feels like but I have never lived as a lonely woman because I am my own biggest fan. My thoughts are my audience. I learned to own me, to preach me and solely subscribe to me.

And although it sounds selfish it’s not…

My wish is that every girl subscribes to herself.

  3. Just wondering, before I consider subscribing… is that this an actual, individually composed letter to each individual subscriber, or does just about every writer compose a single letter just about every week and send the same composition to all from the subscribers they’re assigned to write to?
